- To study under a mentorship was something that I had not given much thought to earlier. But with everything going around 2020 and the opportunity for an online course, I realised that the only effort I would be making was towards making a shift towards building an organization that grows on its own.
- Being located in Kanpur, there weren’t many opportunities or guides to help me set systems & processes.
- But I knew I had to invest in myself I wanted to upgrade. Best decision I have made.
IMPLEMENTATIONS DURING MEE GURUKUL
While I did keep time to meeting new prospects, before doing the Mastery in Entrepreneurship Excellence Gurukul, I was not able to manage to perform enough revenue-generating activities since I used to get caught up in activities like managing the accounts – maintaining the audit, collection, billing.
Within the first month itself, I started putting my learnings into practice. And what I learnt was that for me to focus on what I do best, I had to start giving up tasks that can be managed by others. With the help and guidance of T. I. G. E. R. Santosh Nair and my reviewer Subham Kumaar I was able to accomplish this and focus on closing big sales on my own. With junk activities pushed to the side, I was able to go out and meet new clients, explore the markets, analyse and plan the future moves.
Initially, the team I had were only managing smaller roles and had become comfortable in managing only that much. They did not have the eagerness to broaden their horizon and meet new clients.
The session on creating a dream team had been so fruitful. After sitting down with my reviewer Subham Kumar, I was encouraged to help my employees prepare their goal books. After individually sitting with my team members, I was able to foster the idea of working towards a goal of bettering the future. Of having goals. I also put on the agenda that we watch T. I. G. E. R. Santosh Nair’s educationally profound video lessons. And the outcome of this has been magical. After watching The Art & Science of selling – Vasooli, we collected 70% of debts smoothly and almost immediately. I have been in the process of developing my team to the point where they not only benefit the company but also have a personal change.
We were lacking behind when it came to entering the digital wave. Almost all of our systems were offline, because of which our TAT was longer. Anytime we had to sell products to any new customers, or share details and product information, we used to link all of this information through Virtual messengers. This didn’t help us with creating value.
"When I learnt the effect of the digital age and the benefits that can come from it, I knew I wasted no more time. I knew we had to change this, and so, we signed a partnership with another company and have developed an app that will pact as an online store and help us share data better.
With this online shift, I was also suggested to make more online shifts. Now, we have shifted our stock management to digital platforms. With this online management, we have reduced our TAT by a lot and made systems smoother. "
I have had a fickle fear of heights and water.
Learning that fear is simply False Evidence Appearing real, I have not stopped focusing on any fears that were. Ever since the Mastery in Entrepreneurship Excellence Gurukul, I have simply started focusing on the important tasks at hand and leaving the rest on the outcome. I no longer let my fears get in the way of my and my organization's success.
My productivity was majorly cut down due to my involvement in non-revenue generating activities. Since I was focused on retaining old clients, I was not able to go out and meet new clients. And since I had not delegated a major number of tasks, I was facing a lot of grievances like not meeting our goals.
Since the Course, I have now divided my team into task-wise departments. This has helped bring about alignment and avoid chaos. With the goal books prepared, my team has been able to improve their productivity. This made a great change in the minds of my employees. Today, I have been able to delegate many duties to the team. I no longer am overlooking the accounts. Instead, I have worked with my employee, developed him, and encouraged him to manage and make the needed decisions. By this, I am onto closing big sales and focusing on the 20% of clients that make 80% of our profits.
Given the indulging in junk activities and the lack of resources to set the right, advanced systems & processes, I was had not been practising my right to strategies let alone enjoy it.
I have been influenced greatly by the entire smmart team. With T. I. G. E. R. Santosh Nair as the guiding force, I have started bringing about so much change in building an Auto-Pilot organisation. I have decided that even though I may be late in the game, I will not be unprepared. And smmart has helped me in that. With all the tools and topics shared by smmart, I had aimed and achieved the goal of going debt-free by November ’20. To do this, I had prepared an intentionality tool which helped me align my intension with the right game plan of achieving my goal. With the help of my team and the right delegation and execution, we were able to complete the same even though we were fighting a pandemic on the side.
