Most people think there is a single economy in our society, but in fact, there are two:
- The Time & Effort Economy
- The Results Economy
The Time & Effort Economy, accounting for 80% of all people who work, is based on the desire for job security, predictable activity, and guaranteed income.
These are employees and entrepreneurs who prioritize safety, security, and guarantees, often achieving very little in life.
The Results Economy, consisting of the remaining 20% of the working population, is based on the desire for greater opportunity, income, and freedom of action.
These are employees and entrepreneurs who do not ask for safety, security, or guarantees and instead achieve extraordinary success and wealth.
A Results Economy person produces results under all circumstances and refuses to give excuses. On the other hand, a Time & Effort Economy person often fails to produce results and always has a long list of excuses for their non-performance.
Which economy do you belong to?
For 41 years, I have been in the Results Economy, and I have vehemently refused to be part of the Time & Effort Economy.
What’s your scene?
